During the summer of 2022 India, Nina and Dad sailed through the Greek Islands. During this time, we had an artistic crew member. Her name is Karin from Mexico City. Karin updated the 2 boxes of art ‘stuff’ we had, and every other day it was art time! Paints, papers, craft materials, brushes etc. It set India and Nina down a path of creativity, and by the end of the summer, they both said they wanted to be artists. Amazing the influence we adults have on Children.
Our sailing life as a family was not our future. The girls returned to Hong Kong, and I followed shortly after. Art was still heavily in their life at time in kindergarten. I moved into a small apartment and the girl would come over on the weekend and we had lots of time to paint. It took some time, but eventually my small living room had India – Nina wall paper. I loved it.
