We continued north through the Ionian sea. It was only a short hop from Zakynthos to Skala beach where we spent the next night. There was not much wind and nothing forecast over night so it was an easy anchorage on the south end of Kefalonia. No pictures or videos from this spot which is strange because I remember a really big sexy catamaran pulling up and anchoring close to us. I am sure I did or at least would have taken pictures of her.
The next morning was calm so no rush to get the anchor up. When we did we called Lemonade to see where they were and later that afternoon caught up with them for a gentle sail. It was also when INDININI got a few more drone shots of her. Marco launched his drone from his solar panels and flew around for 20 mins taking videos.
Marco came out to help get INDININI stern tied to the rocks. On the first anchor drop and reverse, I got really close to the cliff and then realized the anchor didn’t grab. The bottom here is pretty rocky and deep 20m from shore so one must make sure the anchor sets, which is probably done by digging under a few big rocks! On the second try we were locked in on the bow and backed up to the short where lines were waiting. We tied off and instantly had our own water backyard.
India and Nina got up each morning and fed the fish that were always under and around INDININI. The water was incredibly clear and even here in 6m of water it was easy to see the bottom.
Ever since meeting Lemonade in Elefonisos, India and Nina could not stop talking about Mia and Mason. Luckily we got to meet up again with them here and in our next stop. The kids got together for breakfast and play dates.
